“Where Craft Meets Culture.”

Founded by Eric Jackson and Ty Murdaugh, since its inception in 2019, the Capsoul Collective has been dedicated to the mission of "diversifying and energizing taprooms through music, arts, and community." While our commitment to this mission remains unchanged, we are now focused and excited to announce the active establishment of the Capsoul Brewing Collective, which will become Richmond's first Black-owned brewery.

“Where is the intersection of craft and culture? Where do we see that? How do we see that? The answer that we arrived at was: crafting the beer. Rather than bringing our culture to existing predominantly white craft establishments, we chose to establish our own establishment, thereby shifting the paradigm. By merging our culture with the craft of brewing, we can now address this question and provide a platform for new entities to express their passions.
